Cheung is nominated for Best Cinematography at the 42nd and 43rd Hong Kong Film Awards for The Sparring Partner (2022), Time Still Turns the Pages (2023), and In Broad Daylight (2023). In 2024, Cheung won the Gold Award for Best Cinematography at the Independent Shorts Awards with Bric-A-Brac. Other works include Table for Six (2022); the Golden Bell Award-winning drama series Days We Stared at the Sun II (2017); as well as films such as The Rope Curse (2018) and Dear Tenant (2020). A participant at the Asian Film Academy in 2013, Cheung served as a teaching assistant there the following year. He was a member of the Golden Horse Film Academy in 2015. He currently teaches cinematography as a guest lecturer at The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
