Stanley Kwan Kam-pang
Kwan left a substantial impression on the international audience with his third film Rouge (1987), after which Maggie Cheung's performance in his later film Actress (1991) earned Best Actress at Berlin International Film Festival. He won both the Alfred Bauer Prize and the Teddy Award for Hold You Tight (1998). In 2001, he won Best Director at the Golden Horse Awards for Lanyu (2001). Directing as well as producing, he is one of the most prominent filmmakers within the Hong Kong film industry.
