The Award is to encourage and promote the development of documentaries. All WIP documentary projects are eligible to compete for the Award.

HAF collaborates with Marché du Film, Festival de Cannes, to present a program offering market screening opportunities for not more than 5 WIP projects at this year's Cannes film festival in May. "Goes to Cannes" presents opportunities for filmmakers to look for sales agents, distributors and film-festival opportunities.
