In an extension of HKIFF Industry’s long history of supporting new works, HKIFF Collection directly represents a selection of titles every year for festival strategies and overseas distribution. Previous titles under the HKIFF Collection banner include Ishii Yuya’s All The Things We Never Said (Busan International Film Festival 2020) , Sakahara Atsushi’s Me and the Cult Leader (Shortlisted for IDA Documentary Award, 2020) , Qi Rui’s The Day is Over which won a WIP award at the Pingyao IFF 2019 and Firebird Award at the 45th Hong Kong International Film Festival, Tan Chui Mui’s Barbarian Invasion won Golden Goblet Awards at Shanghai IFF 2021, most recently Mendoza's Feast and Husband-and-wife team HUANG Ji and OTSUKA Ryuji's Stonewalling.

In addition to overseas distribution, HKIFF Collection also engages in co-production projects. Current activities include the “B2B A Love Supreme” series in collaboration with Heaven Pictures, and a documentary series with China’s B Studio. Previous projects include the 2K restoration of the Japanese punk film series Hachimiri Madness, a joint effort with Japan’s PIA Film Festival and the Berlinale’s Forum of Young Cinema, Youku's short film series Beautiful 2012-2016, and two feature titles: Sunshine that Can Move Mountains and Looking For Lucky.
