Director and producer. His short film Run Away (2002) won the 3rd Prize Cinéfondation at the 54th Cannes Film Festival. His first feature, Passages (2004), received a special mention for the Camera d'Or at the 57th Cannes Film Festival. In 2016, his film Crosscurrent won the Silver Bear for Outstanding Artistic Contribution at the 66th Berlinale. In addition to his directing work, he has also produced several films, including Girls Always Happy (2018), which won both the Firebird Award in the Young Cinema Competition and the FIPRESCI Prize at the 42nd Hong Kong International Film Festival.
