ISHII YUYA’S ALL THE THINGS WE NEVER SAID LAUNCHES THE FIRST FILM FOR B2B

Acclaimed Japanese filmmaker Ishii Yuya completed his new work ALL THE THINGS WE NEVER SAID, the first film launched under B2B (“Back to Basics”) co-organized by The Hong Kong International Film Festival Society and China’s Heaven Pictures. Entitled “B2B A Love Supreme”, the film project enlists six prominent Asian filmmakers to go back to the basics, and demonstrate how they can produce a high quality film inexpensively.

Renowned for THE GREAT PASSAGE and TOKYO NIGHT SKY IS ALWAYS THE DENSEST SHADE OF BLUE, Ishii Yuya continues his poetic and profound portraits of urban youth’s solitude and passion in ALL THE THINGS WE NEVER SAID. Starring Nakano Taiga and Wakaba Ryuya as two good friends who pursue their music dreams and the same woman, the film whirls into romantic complications, leading to contemplation about life, love and death.

Besides Ishii, the other participating filmmakers are Tsai Ming-Liang, Zhang Lu, Philip Yung, Tan Chui Mui and Yang Jin, who will carry on their creative exploration and deliver films that promise to be raw and exciting.
