OPERATION GREENLIGHT

Operation Greenlight, organised by the Hong Kong International Film Festival Society (HKIFFS) for Create Hong Kong (CreateHK) and the Hong Kong Film Development Council (HKFDC), features a bespoke open pitching session to connect young Hong Kong filmmakers with industry professionals and potential investors.

Seven projects selected from CreateHK and FDC’s most recent edition of the First Feature Film Initiative (FFFI) will be presented at Moonlight Theatre, Hall 1, Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, during a specially tailored pitch session on 13 March,2024. Film industry mentors have provided guidance and advice to the filmmakers in the preparation of their presentations.

The pitch session is aimed at the audience of film industry professionals, including sales agents, distributors, producers, financiers, film festival programmers and others attending Hong Kong Filmart and the Hong Kong – Asia Film Financing Forum (HAF). Attendees at these events may also schedule individual meetings with the filmmakers through the Operation Greenlight team.

Operation Greenlight, in its 8 th edition this year, aims to connect talented young Hong Kong filmmakers with film professionals and potential investors in order to help the next generation of local filmmakers realize their visions.

Accredited FILMART and HKIFF Industry Project Market guests are welcome to attend this event. Visitors aged under 18 will not be admitted.
